A lot of things in society change over the years. Through the many generations of men and women that walk this planet, social rules and norms evolve. They make different adaptations to their current age and atmosphere, and much of what was important to the cave man and cave woman (like not getting eaten by dinosaurs) probably is not quite as relevant in today’s world of iPads and laptop computers. But one thing always stays the same: women generally tend to like things nice, ordered, and clean; men generally don’t care as much and typically will tend to be the ones who mess up those nice, orderly, clean things. Men tend to like doing different projects, hobbies, and side jobs, and most of those projects, hobbies and side jobs are probably by nature going to infringe on the woman’s clean space. Think greasy car parts, for a start, or beer bottles all over the kitchen after Saturday night poker night.
This is why the man cave has always been an important part of history. The man cave, also known in some circles as a mantuary (man sanctuary), is a godsend, not just for the man but for his female partner as well. Pool tables are popular in man caves to the point of being pretty much a necessity in any self-respecting man space, and shuffleboard tables and dart boards are also fantastic additions for those late nights drinking, playing games, and other such bar activities with your friends. The lady of the house won’t be able to argue too much about that because it will keep you at home much more often and not out at the bars if you have these things in your own space. Having them in your own home will also save the money you’d have spent out drinking to use them, too!
